National TB Elimination Program has been implemented in the State since its inception. The state government is committed to end TB by 2025 in line with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. State has notified 67,945 TB cases till the end of Sept 2024 (96% target achievement). 66797 (99%) of notified TB cases were tested for HIV. Out of 39296 microbiologically confirmed TB cases, 31397 (82%) were offered rapid molecular diagnosis. 61673 (76%) TB cases were provided the benefit of Nikshay Poshan Yojna till Sept 2024. 7194 (95%) of Household contacts (less than 5 years) of TB case were provided TB preventive treatment. Out of the total notified cases, 86% of cases have been successfully treated. Under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, consent was obtained from 39736 (95%) TB cases on treatment, and 1,13,885 nutrition kits have been distributed so far. Under TB Mukt Panchayat initiative, 579 Gram Panchayat was declared TB free with the support of PRI department.

National Tuberculosis Elimination Program(NTEP) aims for achieving universal access to TB diagnosis and treatment. Over the years, the programme has expended its service of TB and drug resistant TB across the country with access to free diagnosis and anti-TB drugs. The programme is now striving to achieve standards for Tb care in India across all sectors of health care providers.
